It's rubber. It will wear down and flex and fail at some point like all materials made of rubber if it goes through enough cycles. It is a nice band for a dive watch but it's completely unrealistic to expect it to be anywhere near as durable as a steel Oyster bracelet. If I were an active diver I'd certainly pick one up though.

It is superior to any other rubber band, since it has Titanium internals.
When the rubber deteriorates eventually, you will not loose your watch.
