Which One Would You Choose.

Which one would you choose

Ulysse Nardin's Trilogy of Time $329,000,00.Nought to sixty in 60 secs.Wow factor well for myself a big zero.

Or this Aston Martin nought to sixty in around 4 secs wow factor 10+, and a great bit cheaper than a watch
Cost around $270.000.00.

Now check these out.
There's nothing wrong with the Lange; its a great watch with a fine pedigree - and a fine movement - but for 1/200th (Thats correct two hundredth) of the cost, you can get a well made watch with a fine in-house Seiko movement that will last years and years.

I would take the Aston Martin.......however you can't compare the quality of the 1815 and the Seiko 5 Padi (not if you are honest with yourself).

Invicta makes a watch that looks a lot like a Sub, but you can't compare the two........

Would agree Al, movement wise in the 1815,I was trying to put things in perspective overall. But still think the 1815 is not worth the price of the two hundredth Seiko price, but this fact relates to all high end watches IMO, regardless of make.

Oh sorry, I guess I have my Ferrari tinted glasses on again.

I know no Ferrari was posted, but since there was no 'other' option, I made my own.

For that kind of money I'd take the Seiko and buy a house with the rest!

Pam Anderson! Where? Oh. *clears throat* I'll take a double pounder with cheese combo with no onions and a Coke. If I had to choose, I would go for the Aston, and then trade it in for a Ferrari F430. Actually I'd take the Aston and the UN and trade those in for a Ferrari F430 and take the extra cash and buy a few Rollies. Lets see, WG meteorite Daytona on WG bracelet, YG YM with black Tahitian MOP dial, and a 16610. Oh yea, a dress watch. Ummmm Day date white dial on bracelet.

This thread reminds me about our Vegas trip last summer.
I , of course, was looking at watches & cars ( There was a Lambo for sale for $208,000) Looking, only.
My daughter wanted a small ring. So we are at some small store in The Winn, She sees this SMALL ring, single stone, gold band. Looked like a nice kids ring.
I ask "How much?'
Sales lady says "three hundred and six"
I say"that's not bad"
She adds "THOUSAND"
Holy Smokes Batman, apparently it was a pink diamond.
"I don't think so" and we left

John, didn't you know that the only people who buy from a jeweler in LV are thems with more money than sense. If you get a discount at all, it will be about 10% off the 200% marked up price.

I remember when we were on our honeymoon, we were in a jewellers in Cozumel (a really nice place) and we saw a ring with the biggest rock I'd seen (at that point). Figuring we're in Cozumel, it's gotta be a cubic zirconia, so my wife asked how much and the sales girl said 'One Twenty'.

My wife said 'that's not bad for a CZ of that size.' Then the girl said, 'no, US$120,000, it's a 2kt diamond.' (I think it was 2ct, the memory fades).

Needless to say, we left quickly.

We were in Cozumel on our honeymoon also. When you went into the jewwlry stores, did they give you shots of tequila and Coronas to lighten you up? We bought Kelly a Tanzanite ring there. We didn't get too clobbered too bad. I kept going back and forth between the jewelry stores and haggling till I got a price I wanted. I think we ended up paying somewhere around $300 US for it. Kelly's cousin works at a jewelry store here and said it was a fair price, but she could've done better.

BTW, did you go to Carlos & Charlie's there?

Tanzanite one of my favourite stones, the very deep blue with just a hint of purple top grade stones are now becoming quite
rare. There is only one mine now left in the world with very
very small deposits left.Tanzanite very much more rare than diamonds, and the top grade stones now appreciating fast.
