Swapping a dial to add more colour
I've a datejust ll with Matt black dial. I bought it on a whim and although a little flashy for my tastes it does make an interesting alternative in my little watch rotation. However I just love this model with the blue dial and I do feel the need to add some colour variation to my collection.
I'm toying with the idea of buying a replacement dial. I've seen one on chrono24 at about £500. The watch is keeping excellent time at 1sec a day and the watch barely has a mark on it. I'm therefore reluctant to pay for a service which I'm sure would be insisted on if the dials were swapped. Just don't know whether to forget the idea, sell and replace or go for it. What would you do? |

If you are sure the dial is real then go for it.
