GMT BLNR or TT??

Need help deciding....Which is the better choice in terms of flipping down the line? BLNR becoming scarce at ADs? any truth to that?

BLNR actually becoming more and more available as this product leans toward market saturation,for the time being. Not that it wont always sell, but some of the initial novelty is slowing down.

Both are great, and I have had both. BLNR goes with me all the time. As far as flipping? I don't think you would have a hard time dealing either one. Good luck.

I don't really agree with this. It's true enough if you are looking at resale as a percentage of MSRP. But the motto of that story is don't pay MSRP for the 116713 (or the BLNR for that matter). There are good discounts available on the TT, better than the BLNR for sure. Buy it right and either one will maintain a good portion of its value. I have a two year old TT G serial bought BNIB here and judging by the current listings on TRF it's still worth what I paid for it. Admittedly prices for the TT have firmed a little but the moral of the story is still the same in any market - buy it right.

Do you really want either one if you are basing your decision on which will be easier to get rid of? ...just saying.
My advise is to get the watch that you LOVE and what comes in the future markets will settle itself out.
They both are nice choices, if you are overly concerned about retaining value maybe a 5 digit reference GMTII (such at the 16710 or 16713) is better suited for your purchase. Good luck.

Well if your getting a watch based on what's easiest to flip, you're getting it for the wrong reasons.

To answer your question, however, if you buy right, they both should do OK if you have to flip.

Buy right and it won't matter but blnr is more liquid IMHO. Not rare though and I would not pay retail.

I love my BLNR. Although I'm not a fan of PM or semi-PM watches, I wouldn't go TT on this particular piece anyway. That blue and black bezel really sets this watch apart, it's stunning.

As for price, if you were to buy one from an AD in the UK for example, it's highly unlikely that you'll get a discount unless you have a very good relationship there. Therefore, the price you're going to pay is very much dependent on your location. I paid full retail in London but got my tax back at the airport, which worked out a nice 13.8% discount.

As long as you're happy with the watch you buy and the price you pay, you can't lose.

I love my BLNR and are wearing it everyday since last June. When I went to the AD in May 2014, a salesperson showed me GMT TT and I took a look at it and wore it for a few seconds. Then the salesperson told me directly that he knew I wouldn't be interested in it. That watch had been in the store for years and nobody was interested in it, and however, people always came for requesting BLNR.... Then he said he could put my name in the top of the waiting list for BLNR because I purchased a Lady Datejust TT (31 mm) from him 2 months ago. One month later, I got my BLNR very happily with 10% off. The sales manager told me the discount was vey unusual for such a hottest and the most sought-after model in 2014. I knew I was considered as a VIP customer at a moment because I helped him a little to relieve a heavy inventory burden in TTs.

I would vote BLNR because it's more versatile and the TT is 4k more expensive at retail. If you go the trusted grey route, the road narrows considerably.
