To Flip or Not to Flip....
Thinking of flipping my SD4K for a 116613. Sunburst dial for sure. By other watch is a BLNR. Advice?

Tough call. Both are incredible divers that each merit having a place in anyone's collection. I have a slight bias for all things blue, so for me, I'd rather have the Bluesy, but this is really the flip of a coin. I think I would actually consider flipping the BLNR before the SD4K. You would then have the classic, stealthy looking black sub (SD4K), and rather than having a very similar looking watch with a touch of blue (BLNR), you would then have the beautiful, blue sunburst dial and TT band of the 116613. This would give you a bit more variety - one blue, one black... one all stainless, one two-tone.

Agree - really tough choice, but give a slight nod to the BluesyC too - mainly because you also have that BLNR.

Flip!
What about a LVC though? I think that would give you the most color variation in your collection. |

I'd keep it. You're really only gaining a bit of gold and a lovely blue dial

The 116613 is a total different watch than the 116600. I understand the dilemma - but personally I would have kept the SD4K. Gold is way too flashy. I mean; seeing it in pictures vs. wearing it in public. Oh boy. No.

A black diver for a TT is not a great move in my book so I'd never do it.

Personally not a TT fan so my vote would be for keeping the SD. Such a great watch. Miss mine.

I love the sunburst and think it's one of the better looking watches Rolex makes. That said, you'd have two watches with blue in them. I'd much rather lose the BLNR and keep the DSSD.

Personally - I would say keep the SD - I will tell you - they are VERY different watches I have worn both the 16613 and the 116613 blue dials - and really enjoy them from time to time - but always migrate back to my stainless models.
That said it is a FABULOUS looking watch in EVERY regard - and it REALLY stands out and is noticed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

OP (Shannon), if you flip, how and where will you flip it? I am strongly leaning towards flipping my new Rolex, too.

Both nice, I'd keep the SD and work towards purchasing a bluesy down the road.
