Deepsea avialability/price?

Seems this watch is the next big thing two local AD not taking any deposits/orders on this watch and Goldsmiths[uk] state they only getting 5 of them as a company nationwide seems all very LTD. to me. Some web sites already listing it at £6000 compared to uk retail price of £4750. Anybody getting retail on this watch or paying over and above?

There's no doubt that the DSSD will become a very sought-after watch. Like with the Milgauss GV and SS Daytona, there will always be buyers ready to buy a watch at prices way over MSRP. Most AD's stick to the official MSRP, though, but there have been exceptions there, too.

No matter how good a customer you are, I doubt that you'd get a discount on the DSSD, though.

I just waved goodbye to a Dunhill "Magnum" smoking pipe from 1926, currently at 3K US Dollars, to be able to better raise the funds for the DSSD...

It was quite a struggle for me to decide whether to go for BOTH the Dunhill AND the DSSD, but if the DSSD comes in September, I cannot afford both. So I won't bid on the Dunhill pipe.

retail price for the deep sea will be £4750. supply will be very very tight and this watch will become a collectors watch.

As previously posted, I HAVE ACTUALLY HAD ONE OF THE NEW DEEP SEA'S ON my wrist and my god is it beautiful or what.....

This sounds just like the GMT IIC story. Now everyone who wants one has one.
I'm not impressed with short supply story. It sounds like initial excitement that will quickly be met in 1 years time.

You all paying retail for this watch or have the AD's put a mark up on it with it being initially in short supply? which UK AD's are you using? Goldsmiths state they're only getting 5 as a company so seems the smaller dealers are going to be getting most on initial release?
