Yachtmaster Question

I was thinking of getting the 40mm yachtmaster grey dial. Besides the clasp any diffrence over the years? Is it worth the extra money? Any idea of what discount i can expect on a new one? thanks everyone

The big differences were the clasp, the end links, and IIRC the bezel mechanism. Justifiable increase in price? Entirely up to you but I think the "old" version is just fine.

Early YMs with the more sparkly dials are the way to go, IMO.

I really like the upgraded bracelet and clasp on the new model...makes a huge difference in the comfort and fit, two very important criteria for me when choosing a watch. However, if this is not important to you, then I would suggest you get more bang for your buck with an older model.

The bezel is supposedly redone and improved on the new as well, but I was rather disappointed in that.

Very similar imo. Some like the earlier dials they are more coarse i think. Also some evidence that the entire bezel is platinum on the earlier versions and only the insert is platinum on the later

If I'm not mistaken the bezel on the new models are solid platinum where the older models had a platinum insert in a steel bezel.

And of course like the others have mentioned, the new bracelet and clasp. The dials are different in the way they reflect light as well.

Sent from some sort of electronic device probably not much better than a carrier pigeon.
