GMT II dial issue - feedback required

Hi all, I was just reading another post where the OP asked for comments on his GMT II dial and whilst looking at my one it just occurred to me that mine, which I bought a few months ago from a trusted dealer with box & papers and a 2 year warranty only says SWISS at the 6 o'clock marker instead of SWISS MADE or SWISS - T <25

Can any of you more knowledgeable guys out there update me on this anomaly?

If it helps it an A series and the original sales receipt which also came with it shows that it was sold in 2000

Thanks in advance

.

First Rolex dials with luminova had only "SWISS" marked. It was roughly from mid 97 to mid 99 .

For your "A" serial it's conform.

That's fine. I'm guessing its a fairly early to mid A serial (such as A5xxxxx) and sold in the earlier months of 2000? (possibly a little later for a two tone, I guess)These Swiss only dials were the first Luminova dials, sold from around 1998 to early 2000. On later models it signifies a service dial.

Thanks for the feedback, I've just got back home and checked the paperwork and it's an A49xxxx series and was originally sold around mid 2000 by an AD so that seems to tie up perfectly with your comments.

No its a original SWISS only, on modern Rolex dials it was used from latter part of 1997 till around late 1999 early 2000 possible longer on slow sellers like TT watches.

My Gmt and my Polar Explorer are both A series and both have SWISS only dials. These are the original dials
