Rolex between the lugs

Ceramic sub C

Is there a year in which Rolex stopped printing model and serial number between lugs, some online sources read 2005 some say newer since its printed on the rault inside the face.

do any subCs have this feature?

Can some one help me out in this and sorry in advance if it's all ready been asked .

Thank you in advance

I don't believe any of the subc line have the engraving between the lugs. If they do, it would be the earlier models. I gladly stand to be corrected as I am not an expert.

If I recall correctly, there were some early examples of Sub C's that had the serial between the lugs and the rehaut (chapter ring). This was phased out pretty quickly and anything after that just has it on the rehaut. I got one of the first batches of Sub C's and have always been curious if mine has the S/N between the lugs too. Not curious enough to remove my bracelet though. Maybe one of these days...

this was what we have been looking at for age and model number for years with my basic Rolex knowledge and was cautious when it wasn't there, as that was the older dead ringer for a clone in the past w other Rolex models. It would be nice to know exact date this was phased out, older LV non ceramic had rault and lug engravings I just haven't had too many ceramics where I can inspect the case

If you buy from a reputable source then there would no need to check the case. From 2004 Serial F/D on some models the Rolex Rolex Rolex first started on the Rehaut ring but not all models at the same time frame. And depending on the age of the watch some have serial only between lugs while others like some M serials have it on the rehaut and lugs. But there is no real 100% cut off time frame, now some V serials had rehaut only, but all G and randoms will have serial on rehaut only.
