GMT Mater II USA Dubai or London
i am planning to buy a GMT Master II SS next month during the travel to London, but I will also have two hours to stop at Dubai international airport. Does anyone know where is the best place to purchase this watch? London, Dubai or USA? This will be my first time piece, since I began to work. And my first watch is a Casico and I wearer for 8 years.

If you want a BLNR forget about Dubai, it sells so fast and always has a waiting list, besides the price isn't that good. You can find the LN model but again the prices aren't great there, zero discount or maybe a few hundred dollars but you do save on taxes. I think you'd do better in the US.
Not sure about London prices or availability. |

Rashid, thanks for your response. Actually I did look for the BLNR. So are you meaning the price in U.S. are even better, if I could return the tax?

Not Dubai. I was there last month and went to three ADs in three different malls and they wouldn't even do any % off on a Milgauss Z Blue or Daytona I was looking at.

Best deal would probably be through one of the trusted sellers here... If you want it from an AD, you won't get much if any discount on the BLNR anywhere.... Assuming it is even in stock.

Hi, I am a Dubai resident and if you are buying from the AD's, I think Dubai is probably one of the worst places in terms of pricing particularly for Rolex. They sell out most of the models, so availability is not always easy and you will not get any discount. The posted prices are generally 5 - 10% higher than the international pricing for Rolex and if you ask, they will give you up to 10% "so called" discount just to match the international pricing. I generally find the best prices either in Italy or Germany.

You are going to have to look at the currency exchange rates, taxes and how much your time is worth to you to find the best choice.

Thanks FTE. Your information is really valuable for me. I guess I will probably check my itinerary to find ADs in London or neighborhood area.
