Journal Alert - Tomoe River Paper
Just a heads up guys!
I just purchased a new journal made completely out of Tomoe River Paper. If you don't know about TRP it is an onion skin thin paper that is about as fountain pen friendly as is possible. No bleed through, no feathering, and has a excellent consistency to it that I have not seen before. This stuff is expensive at about 10 cents per sheet loose, but I found a 480 page journal for about $25.00 and some change. The name of the journal is the Seven Seas Journal and can be found here: http://www.nanamipaper.com/categorie...ver-paper.html I am not affiliated in any way with Nanami Paper, but just wanted to make TRF pen lovers aware that there is finally a journal with paper worthy of even the best FPs. His prices are excellent and service is superb. He deals almost exclusively with Japanese products, which in my estimation is some of the best available. I have never seen a journal with 480 pages that is less than 1.5 inches thick! This TRP is truly remarkable. One quote said: "If there was a Nobel Prize for the smoothest, strongest, thinnest and most ink-friendly paper, Tomoe River would surely be a contender." Anyway, if you get a chance give them a look see and let us know what you think. I almost forgot to mention that if you do purchase one of these journals, I would highly recommend that you get one of his green writing mats. This makes writing so much nicer. I purchased the B5 size as he was out of A5. The A5 is twice as large as needed and I was able to cut it in half and then trim the corners with a fingernail clipper to give the halves a finished look.
