Help Authenticate YMII

hi guys

long time lurker, first time poster. I'm currently looking to purchase my first (non-sub) Rolex and want to know what you guys think of this SS YMII a third party offered to sell me

-I'm pretty decent at telling apart fake subs vs real subs, as there's an abundance of info available online. however not near as much info available for Yachtmaster II's.

-I havn't seen the watch in person yet; plan to friday (it's out of state, can't use my trusted AD/RSC)
-The watch comes with papers and box

-i'm trying to get the serial number and run it by my local RSC (i'm in Lititz, PA)

-Hopefully with any info you guys can give me, plus meeting at an AD for a "service quote/appraisal" i'll be able to authenticate it. from research this watch should weigh 179g, so ill probably buy a postal scale and bring it; if anyone can verify that it's much appreciated

Thanks

Terrible pictures, to small and distant, but I'm confident the watch in the pictures is counterfeit!

unfortunately those are the only pictures i have. after comparing those to real YM II pics, i noticed how close the "Y" is to the "10" on the bezel (same for II and the 0) which definitely makes me believe it's counterfeit too

I work at Lancaster Regional occasionally, my favorite part is driving through the F&M campus, it's beautiful (especially compared to millersville)

That box looks terrible. If the box is fake, the watch will be too.

Save yourself the trip as well as the time, effort and energy. This is a replica with ZERO doubt. Aside from the bezel lettering that you already noticed and the box and papers identified by your comrades here, the pushers and crown guards are incorrect. I suspect he would not have actually met you at an AD unless he was duped when he bought the watch initially and truly thinks he has an authentic piece. The very first thing you would have wanted to do would be to operate the regatta complication. There isn't to my knowledge a working replica of this highly complex movement or the movement in the sky dweller. The bezel actually is mechanically linked to the movement which is pretty difficult to replicate. Not saying it can't be done as we've seen with other complex movements, but its highly highly unlikely at this point.

Thanks for the additional info in helping spot fakes, like you mentioned I truly believe he thinks this watch is real, but either way it's clearly not for me

Thanks everybody for your advice and input

Easiest way to tell a fake yachtmaster ll, the small short hand for the countdown, the tip or arrowhead is always too small on a rep.
They use regular gmt size hands because they are too lazy to manufacture the bigger head ones to make it look real, THANK GOODNESS they arent that smart!
