"Good" can't be determined with just a model name.
First - and can't believe I beat Padi to this - Rolex don't come in model years like cars. So that already tells you something about the seller. Next - the bark finish is no longer offered so wasn't a high demand option like standard finish. Lastly - only you can decide if you like the watch - if you do, and it is all correct, then enjoy your first one! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sorry for being vague. Just seen a lot of presidents going for 5 grand upto 25 grand. Just wanted people's opinions to make sure I paid about the right money for my watch. I paid 7000 pounds for it

Teak dial on a DD is not something you see very often. Very nice!

i think if you're an Oil man in Houston in 1980 you had to have one, now sell for 8-12K mostly for the ladies, my wife wants one.

Indeed, I did regret the loss of a black teak dial 18248 with box & papers by setting my maximum bid too low! Just ONE DOLLAR more I'll be the winner! By the way, I don't know whether it's a true one-dollar story! (smile) |

Thanks for the input. Personally I Thought the dark tapestry face really made the watch stand out to me and is one of the main reasons I bought it. Love my first rolex. Will definately be buying another
