Longines Heritage 1935 review
Hi all
Just wanted to do a quick review of this timepiece. This heritage piece is based on the original 1935 model and it is pretty similar with some differences. The main difference is the addition of the date and a slightly larger case size. Although not a limited edition, each piece is individually numbered. First of all here some pictures (apologies for the lack of quality here) Let's look at the main areas: DIAL: large Arabic numbers and cathedral hands all with lume. Placement of date in a central position adds to the symmetry and is convenient. Nice touch of having the original fonts. Legibility in day/night is excellent. 8/10 CASE: highly polished case shape with patterned bezel which catches the light well. Sized at 42mm solidly built, it fits my 6.5" wrist well. The case is quite thick but is still smaller than a base Panerai. Nice large crown which is signed and goes well with the bezel. 8/10 MOVEMENT: ETA 2895 with 42 power reserve automatic. Robust movement and expected at this price point. 7/10 STRAP/BUCKLE: lovely black alligator strap (available in different sizes) with contrasting white stitching goes with the dial well. Buckle is a bit flimsy for this solid watch. 7/10 COMFORT: superb, from day one it is a great fit as long as you have the correct strap size. 10/10 COST: £1,310 / $2,300, excellent value for money - will be tough to find a better finished/designed timepiece at this price point. 10/10 OVERALL: highly recommended for any watch collection, goes well formally and casually making it an all rounder. FINAL SCORE: 8.3/10 Cheers Anuj Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
