Questions of Getting My First Rolex

Good Morning. I'm a newbie in the Rolex world. I finally can afford my first Rolex and would like to know which watch is better in your opinions. I've narrowed it down to 2 options, both of which are pre-owned watches from eBay.

I managed to read a lot of the forums here to know which company to stay away from. Below are my two options.

1.) http://www.ebay.com/itm/111723087103...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

OR

2.) http://www.ebay.com/itm/331610590167...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Please let me know what you guys think. Thank you all for your time.

Consider that option one involves and aftermarket bezel.
If that's OK with you, then nothing to discuss.
Wouldn't be OK with me but that's me.

Why not buy from one of our TRF Trusted Sellers? It would be safer than eBay.

Trusted sellers are a very good choice at reasonable prices.

Search for "16233" in the for sale section.

Here is one that matches option 2 for half the price.

This option 3 you posted, should be the original posters option 1. I concur with everyone here and would advise looking at the classifieds here. I avoid ebay at all costs for this kind of stuff. The 600+ pages of posts here are a good indication of why ebay is better left alone when it comes to Rolex's.

I've read that Sant Blanc is overpriced most of the times, you can probably find a better deal here or another online seller

Rolex eBay is an anagram of "run away"

The way I see it...you get what you pay for. Sure, you are definitely able to get deals, but the margins of the deal is contingent on the expense of the watch. If you are able to get a watch that is in pristine condition for 5500 and you find one for 3500...likely the one for 3500 is a fixer upper. Not to take away from the rolex advertised from this forum...but it is an S serial (so from 1994ish), it needs a polish, and the band is 75-80%
