A Little "Serti" Spice for a Change of Pace!

Ahhhhhh! Nothing like a new GRAIL! Rolex has always been my ultimate grail. I wore my Sub C just over a week ago, took a look at my wrist and though it was nice, but it did not create a “tingle.” I said to myself, I need my Rolie to stick out among the herd. I can’t afford all gold so 18K/SS should work but how about something a little different than the Blue/Gold or Black Gold Sub. Bingo! How about a Serti Dial with Diamonds and Sapphires!! The hunt was on and for once timing was on my side and I swung a deal giving up my Sub C for my now new to me Rolex Submariner 16613 Serti Dial! I went back and forth on Slate or Champagne but decided on the Slate. Since these are no longer in production, pre-owned was the only route. It was difficult to find one with everything but I got lucky. I dealt with a great guy in NYC and we had the deal done in two days. This Rolex is the perfect ending to my renewed "Tingle!"

I love silver dials. This is a great combo and probably the only watch w/ precious stones I'd feel comfortable wearing.

Hi Gary,
Stunning reference. I traded mine unfortunately to upgrade to 116619 but it was a beauty. The silver dial with the aluminum bezel was as close to perfect IMO. I got over it though, I hope you enjoy.

Nice, interesting you have the gold through clasp but lug holes. Maybe a K SN? Y perhaps?

Pics do not do this watch justice. The dial is beautiful in person. Congrats and enjoy

Hey, we both just traded for a unique Sub! Your watch is awesome! Those diamonds Rolex uses I believe are like VVS quality. They are going to really bling in the sun. Great job

The OP's watch is a K. You can see it in the tag in one of the pics. It could have been a late A SN also
