I need guidance
I am far from a pen nut, in fact the best pen I own is a Parker roller ball that runs $60.
I write insurance appraisals on firearms 10-20 times a year. Some of these firearms are valued in the 100's of Thousands. I use a nice stationary but would like to sign off on these with a bit nicer pen. I am thinking a fountain pen because you can see the character in it's writing and the signature looks more elegant. My issue is $. It doesn't make sense to spend $1000+ on a fountain pen to use 10-20 times a year for 5 mins or less each time. I am sure I will have ink drying issues too between uses. I cannot use one for my daily pen (though I would like too) because I spend the day writing on triple carbon copies. That said I am also looking to purchase a nice roller ball that writes well in a fine line for my daily use pen. At the moment I use Uniball vision elite micro pens, but something nicer and not disposable would be nice. Any advice and guidance is appreciated. |
