New member & my Rolex collection of 2....

I have been a wis for most of my life, and collecting Panerai's since 2007, with a 127, 249, 232 (oor 3/3), and a 318(I'm from Brooklyn) currently in my collection,as well as a few other brands, but more recently have been interested in vintage & older Rolex models. Thanks for your wealth of knowledge and answering my questions.

Can someone please tell me which dial I have on my E series Daytona?

thx,
AR

Lovely watches for certain but can't answer your question regarding the dial on the Daytona.

Congrats and Welcome. Two great looking watches.

I was born in Brooklyn and retired from Brooklyn Union Gas.

I can't tell you much about the dial. Sorry. I'm sure you'll get the answer to your question here. Just noticed the inverted 6. I would say it's original to the watch.

Welcome, AR!

The dial for your Daytona is a MK3. MK1 would have the "floating" script (where the 5th line that says "Cosmograph" is set lower than the first 4 lines, thus appearing to "float"). MK2 is the "4 line" dial (meaning there are only 4 lines of script, rather than 5 lines). MK3 is the last dial version to have the "inverted 6" in the middle subdial.

Thank you for the dial info, can you tell me why my bracelet which I'm told by the members here is correct to my watch doesn't have the polished links, when I've seen older series with polished links bracelets? Were those bracelets incorrect? Or did they just make some with and some without?
Thx!
