The little one is ill

Baby Atomic was burning up the other night with a fever, which meant we dropped her in the tub to bring it down at 1:30 a.m.... and then a very sleepless night for the missus and me, while poor C snored away (in our bed, a first) with laboured breathing and short breaths.

So yesterday Mrs. A took C to a walk-in (our doc was on vacation) and she got good treatment, for a throat infection. She's turned around and is responding well and back to her normal, smart self.

But imagine my horror, when my wife told me the name of the doctor:

Dr. Irani.

Thanks JJ, but from my point of view, she's already had too much contact with anyone named Irani for a looooong time.

All the more reason for no worries, pal. If that doctor is anything like me in perfection and exactness, then the patient is certainly in good hands!!

JJ, no one questions your perfection or exactness. It's the insanity that is worrysome.

Sorry to hear about the little one, John. Best wishes on a full and speedy recovery. But, Dr. Irani I would have to opt for a second opinion. If there is any relation, and the flipping condition is genetic, the good Dr. may have already decided to completely change his course of treatment

Seriously though, all my best to the little one.

BTW, thanks for the kind words. It's just one of those 'kid' things. They rugrats are bloody germ magnets, particularly when they're in nursury school.

So what did this Dr Irani prescribe.?
Put a Rolex lady on her wrist for a week. Then change to a Breitling Lady Chrono this friday, then come back monday so he can change it yet again?
On a serious note, I feel for you. I hate it when my Daughter is ill. You feel so helpless.
Hope for a speed recovery.

John - sorry to hear little C is not 100%. Hopefully it will pass soon.

As for Dr. Irani he must have entered the country after December of 2004, as that is when I alerted immigration of a potential whacko with that name may try to enter the country. Maybe if I had warned them when I first learned of this madman, they could have stopped this "doctor" from entering the country. However, in my own defence I didn't think anyone could be as nuts as JJ appeared to be on an internet forum in real life......boy was I wrong.

Johnny, good job on jumping on the fever in a huruy mate, that is the best way. I know all too well about those sleeppess nights, but if is funny how we forget about them when we see them smiling and wanting hugs.

Seriously though, you may want to get a second opinion.

Thanks man, you know the best thing... yesterday when I got home she jumped into my lap and took both hands to position my head so we were looking each other in the eye, and she says, "daddy, I love you," and gives me a kiss and a big hug.

Man, that's the best thing to come home to.

I love it, Dylan is great for the two hands on the cheek kiss. I just wish he would stop doing it to Isabella every time he leaves school.

I did/do not have that luxury with the ladies, so I got one and have hung on like hell. He is more gifted in that arena than his father.

So I just do it with watches instead.

So I spend some time on here this afternoon and I get a call from Dylans school. He threw up all over the place and I need to pick him up. We get home and some more is relieved, then later even more.

He is sleeping now, but this poor kid is non stop sick.

He is not running the dreaded temp though and is happy since he is spending the day tomorrow with Grandma.

Good to hear that little C's better, John! The Dr Irani thing sends a shiver down my spine (a week's supply of amoxycillin, nope, make that just paracetamol, hmm, no, DEFINITELY erythrocin ... viral infection...?).
