No Date Sub - which model / year is preffered?

Next up to be purchased will be a Sub No date.

This will be worn in regular rotation.

I want to go preowned, and as long as the watch is complete I am not too worried about condition as I rather save a few bucks.

I keep reading about the Lugs, no lugs, 2 liner, Solid end links, newer clasp etc.

In order to narrow down my search is there a specific model or year I should avoid?
