Need deepsea bezel replacement
RSC wants to charge me $800 for bezel-any cheaper place?
Only the metal needs replacement due to scratch. |

How bad is the scratch?
Does it still function normally? Just curious if you have a pic. |

I always thought that with the proper tools the bezel could be replaced separately from the insert? That price would make me think the entire setup was quoted?

Search for threads on ceramic bezel. I believe there's one that says the ceramic bezel isn't user serviceable. Shouldn't affect water resistance, as the parts are exterior to the case and crystal.
I'm sure Peter will be along shortly with a better answer. |

First the bezel has nothing whatsoever to do with the how water proof the watch is.The Ceramic inserts are around $450 only, not sure about the bezel only price but both can be serviced replaced as separate items.

Rolex does not sell parts across the counter and so if you were quoted 800 from an RSC it would include installation and mounting of the insert as well. It's pretty unlikely that you would find a bezel by itself for that price out in the after-market world.

UK price for just the ceramic insert is £651 inc vat which would be free to fit if part of the service.
