strap a bit too distressed for me...

Hello All
Here's another OCD post:
Just ordered a Tudor Black Bay OEM clasp and distressed leather strap.
It kinda seems a bit too distressed to put on a nice new watch.
SO
Has anyone tried to silghtly un- distress a distressed strap?
Perhaps a tiny bit of black shoe polish? Or maybe saddle soap?
I dont want a new look , just a little less rough looking
Thanks

Seems like it would be a lot easier to buy a new looking strap and stress it, than de-stressing a pre-stressed strap

For me I'm happy with my stainless bracelet and aftermarket strap. Not quite as distressed as the Tudor one.

Fiddling with an expensive oem Tudor strap seems to be the wrong way to go about it myself

The leather straps for the BB are not all the same. Some appear almost new whereas others look really distressed. If yours is still in or with the packaging, maybe you could look into exchanging it?

That's very distressing.

I love the distressed strap, so I'm not much help here. Although I will say I don't think you're going to have much luck reversing the look.

If it bugs you I would just look at getting something else.

If anything you may want to try leather dye. Don't know that shoe polish will do it. Have used leather dye on cowboy boots and saddles in the past and it may be the best way to disguise some of the distressing.
