Trusted Seller typical process

Newbie question on transactions via trusted sellers. Is it customary to send the seller a watch for trade along with full balance due prior to the seller shipping the sale watch? Or is there a partial hold-back on full payment (maybe 25%) until the watch is received and confirmed? If the former I understand why they're labeled "trusted" sellers. I've done my diligence on the potential seller and he's well liked based on other posts in the who's who section. This is such a big ticket item I wanted to get feedback on the general process for these types of sales. Thanks in advance.

Nope just send off the watch and money. The trusted sellers will make sure both are good then send you your watch. They are trusted sellers.

I just did a trade plus cash with a trusted seller. I sent everything before my new watch was shipped out.

Same here.

No worries whatsoever when dealing with someone who has sold hundreds of watches through TRF.

1. tell seller which watch you want to buy

2. seller asks for money

3. you send money

[2 days pass you dont hear from seller]

4. email seller asking for updates

[1 week passes]

5. email seller again and telephone, leave answer message as phone not answered

[2 weeks pass]

6. contact bank to ask for money to be returned to you

7. go to a legit authorised dealer and buy the watch there
Good general advice, minus the sarcasm. However, there are many sellers on this site that are reliable.

8. Warn others on the forum about the seller via millions of posts.

You don't instill much confidence, but then again you've only been a member here for 4 days max
