Sea dweller bezel
Good Morning all,
Just bought a 2002 16600 sea dweller in fantastic shape. As I am very meticulous about my watches, I noticed that the bezel was a little lifted from the part that it sits on. It will press down, but then slides back up. I have tried popping the bezel off and making sure there wasn't anything in there under the flat metal piece between the bezel. Was curious if there was a fix you all knew of or if it really mattered. I plan on wearing this thing in the pool so need to be sure it is secure. Thank you. |

It has to have a little "play" or it couldn't turn, most likely normal. Do you have a pic?

Underneath the bezel is some sort of spring and if the bezel is turning normally I think there is nothing to worry about.

It is common for the bezel of all versions of sub to have a little play and even to rock a bit when pressed.
That said my current 14060M G serial, my 7th submariner (sea dwellers included) does not rock or have that typical play I have come to excpect, it turns Smoothly and is exceptionally tight fitting

Bezel Movement
i have owned my dweller since 1993 never encompassed any movement at all on the bezel in fact its a tight smooth movement , if you just purchased it i would return it for inspection , as for the comment it is common for the bezel to have some movement i totally disagree .

It is entirely possible that since 1993 some "stuff" has found its was under your bezel - preventing the movement many, including myself, experience. Put differently, your watch, or at least the case/bezel interface could use a movement.
