Good Evening

I've had my GMT Master blue and red ss black face for 11 years (and love it)
how do i find out the date of manfacture i think it 86 but its got 16710 on the side of the box?

What is the GMT worth its in excellent condition (slight scratch on the glass).

A 16710 is a MASTER II. 1986 would be a 16750 if a MASTER series. Eleven years makes it a 97 vintage which is in the 16700 range.

Couple things---pop the bracelet off and give the first three of the serial number . We can get pretty close then.

Does your watch have an acryllic crystal (16750) or sapphire (16700). A pic would tell a lot.

16710 and GMT 16700 were both available throughout the 90's. GMT II 16760 was available until late 1980's when it was replaced by the 16710. If you have a 90's GMT II it is a 16710, or if it is a GMT it is a 16700. 16750 GMT was available until the late 80's which was replaced by the 16700.

It may not be the right box?

The calender in the box it dated 86/ 87.Its got acryllic crystal.

Is it hard to get the bracelet off?

Have to go out now but will get you some pics.

Sounds like a latter 16750. Have a gloss dial with WG surrounds? Like this,

Bracelet is easy to pop off. I like to use a toothpick. Just depress the springbars through the lug holes.

I should add that one side will yeild the serial number and the other the reference number.

If you want to date a GMT you need a bottle of Pinot Nor and a Barry White album.
