I found a tiny scratch in the bezel of my Platty YachtMaster it was small but it really bothered me. I was in the city yesterday and stopped by RSC, I was afraid it would cost several hundred dollars and when I went in they didn't seem quite sure they could fix it. But then the desk agent took it in the back and came out and said it would be $60 and about a week I was quite relieved.

I didn't take any photos of the scratch but I'll post some photos when it comes back all nice looking!

It was pretty small about 3-5 mm I think but in the rough part of the bezel. I think they have to do sort of like micro sandblasting to get the finish back.

I wish I had a picture but I hated the scratch so much I didn't take one.

"Micro sandblasting" is correct. It's a very complex process and most RSCs will not have the facility to do it. This has to be done at Rolex only.

It would bother me too Lisa. You'll feel much better when you look at and don't see the scratch there anymore.

FWIW, I have a micro scratch on my platinum bezel, much like you described.

I actually think it came from my fingernail when rotating the bezel.

It's not so much a deep scratch, but like the sandblast finish is gone. Less than the thickness of a fine hair.

Looking forward to seeing photos of the RSC results.

It may have happened during the NYC watch GTG last month. I wore 2 watches my PP 5127 on the left and had the Platty on my right wrist with two bracelets as well, I noticed it soon after that. I won't do that again.

Here it is back from RSC NY for $60 they fixed my bezel scratch. It was between 11 and 12 o'clock on the bezel. I didn't take a photo because I hated seeing the scratch but Rolex fixed it up and gave me a service pouch and white Rolex logo imprinted microfiber cloth too.

OMG, it looks perfect!

My little scratch is between the 11 and 12 o'clock mark too. I rememebr a forum member that posted that his Platty bezel was polished at a RSC, I believe in GB, and it came out as a disaster.

I truly wonder if some RSC's have the correct equipment and training to do YM bezels while other don't. I've kinda favored Dallas but may send my Platty to NY when the time comes.
