Daytona G series Parachrom Hairspring
Hi guys,
I recently acquired a G41xxxx series white dial daytona with Local AD card stating year of purchase in 2012. Had the back case opened up today hoping to see the blue parachrom hairspring. However it turned out to be the silver one. Didn't rolex introduce the blue parachrom hairspring in all their 4130 movement after 2005? Any gurus with opinions on this? |

All Daytonas since 2000 use the Parachrom hairspring..
It was blued in about 2005 as a marketing point for the new ceramic GMT, there is no difference in the composition. They are not bright blue and so perhaps you didn't look close enough to see the blue hue..

I looked through the loupe and it was definitely the "standard" non blue hairspring in a 4130 movement. Perplexed since the g series should be made in 2010 to 2011.
