My longest desired Grail has landed!

Ever since I started getting into watches when I was a teenager, the Day-Date president with a white roman dial has always been the greatest, classiest, most iconic emblem of what a gold watch is to me. Today, I found a vintage '83 president in exactly the right combination in excellent condition with very minimal bracelet stretch, and I had to have it. I went straight down to the grey dealer in Boston that I already have a relationship with, Paul Duggan and co., that I bought a TT Yacht-Master II earlier this year from. He offered me a price I couldn't refuse, and I broke my promise to myself that I wouldn't buy another watch this year as I have already bought the Yacht-Master II 116681 and a BLNR 116710 in the past 7 months.

For me, my watch collection now feels complete. Hopefully this feeling will last as long as possible

Tufts is great! I have a lot of friends who went. I actually live pretty close to there, just outside Davis sq. Fantastic area. I missed '83 as my birth year by 2 months, so close to having my president be my birth year watch!

Congrats! If I ever retire that one is a lot like what I would be eying up as a gift to myself. BTW... not at all implying this is a watch for the elderly... rather that is when I would be getting my pot of gold to plop down the cash for it.

It's hope it's not just for the elderly! I'm 31 and this is my 3rd rolex I've bought this year
