JLC Automatic Reversos

I see many manual wind Reversos on the market but not many automatic Reversos. Are automatic Reversos thought less of than the manual wind Reverso? Is it considered a less sought after movement for Reversos and a bad purchase?

Pretty much no reversos are "thought less of" or a "bad purchase".

That's your answer.

Well that's good, because I like mine, it's a manual.

Me too. That's a beauty.

And I too think a reverso should be a manual wind.

Manual is sexy, automatic is a bore.

Some watches are just meant to be manual, like Speedmasters and Reversos. Wouldn't want mine any other way!

I love the Reverso in pictures. I tried one on for the first time the other day, and it looked terrible on my wrist. Maybe I'm just not used to the case shape, but wow what a disappointment. On the bright side, I fell in love with the MUT....

Just love this one; although, the Duo blue has really been growing on me. I really like the red reverso as well, but I worry that the novelty of the red would wear off pretty quick and I would be wondering "why did I buy a red-dialed dress watch?"

I drooled over the SS MUT Moon for months in pictures and even in the case. But when I tried it on, it did nothing for me. It was a let down. Now the RG was a completely different story!

Reverso Squadra models are either automatic or quartz.

Both fine, but do prefer manual winds in watches to include the Reverso of course

I love manual wind Reverso watches. Here is my 8 day GMT.

The blue is absolutely fantastic! I agree about the red, too.

It does take some getting used to, but it's also worth noting that the strap is very important as well. I found the JLC alligator strap to be very stiff and made the watch look stupid on me, it just didn't feel right. With the Casa Fagliano strap, which is very pliable, the Reverso takes on a whole new look and feel. It's really comfortable and looks much better I think.
