Pinot can be as "big" as any Cab if they are made like true Burgundian Pinot Noirs. Problem is you've probably only been exposed to California"fruit bomb" Pinots. Like the above Cabs, there's more to life than what's available at the corner "wine shop" or Lees Liquors. You don't have to know about Cabs to grab that above line-up. All that was missing is some Opus One Those are wines to impress your friends IMHO.

And I bought the 2012 Joseph Phelps Insignia prior to the big rating it got, so I saved a ton of money on those. <160.00

Fabulous bottles Mark, really great selections. I have a few 2012 Diamond Creek's myself I'm going to try and sit on them for a few years but man the fruit in those bottles is so fresh and lively it's a real chore not to open them up!!

Great selections Mark. Our wine club selections are arriving now, and our bottles in storage back east just arrived as well.
I am with you on the Pinot Noir, never a big fan.

Hi everyone..
I'd like to start out saying I don't collect wine. I drink it. I have enough of older vintages to last a while 1997 on up to 2010, most are ready to drink. Anything past 2010 I can sneak a drink using The Coravin Model 1000 wine preservation system. Go to Utube to read up, a really nice item to have if you just want a glass and save the rest for up to 12 months, or even longer. I believe Ken has this system too, so he could input his feelings on this. I really got lucky on 2012 Joesph Phelps Insignia, I went over board cause 2012 was such a amazing year. I bought way to much but this will last at least 20 years, but it won't, not in this house and all my friends are winos who just go nuts when they're over 2013 will be another if not better year then 2012 for the Napa Area. I wasn't going to buy the liter bottles of Caymus but seeing I saw a really good price I picked up 12 and then 12 of the .750 liter as well. Also I have a lot of the 2013 Caymus, hoping the ratings are up in the very high 90's. I know that it will taste good anyways. I hope that the wineries all start doing 1 liter actually. I'll finish up later

I should've waited on the Caymus 2013 as they have released 1 liter bottles prices are sure to go up when the Distributors run out. 75.00 right now
