Not the first time this has happened. If the casino or manufacturer can show the machine malfunctioned, tough luck for her.

Her first mistake: Walking into a casino.

It goes downhill from there.

At least she didn't actually lose that much money.

I know all the machines say that the casino is not responsible for malfunctions, but like they said in the story, the machine has been removed, who knows where it is.

If I were the casino, I would have paid her the maximum that the machine can pay, I think they said $20K, and hope they get away with it.

Casino should settle with her for a reasonable amount and split it with the game maker.

If there was a stated maximum payout (20k?), that's all it will payout. But, I feel for her.

better off investing in the nigerian stock market than a casino

same chance of your money going up , less chance of being scammed

Agreed..... The chances of a machine breaking on you is probably about the same as the machine letting you win.

I say the casino gives her 100k and laugh that they probably still made over a million that night.

All malfunctions on play or pay will void payout. Not many casinos pay out if there is a malfunction, now if it was a long time customer, they may make the player whole. But don't count on it. It sets a dangerous precedent.
