Rolex service due or not?
OK so here is the age old question brought back to life. Do we follow the rule to service every 5 to 7 years or do we wait for a problem like bad time keeping then send it in.
A friend of mine had this to say "Unless your watch is not keeping time, I don't think it makes sense to have it serviced by Rolex" Others have said if your wait that long then you can damage parts costing more in the long run. I own a couple Rolex watches and wore my air-king purchased in 2007 for 7 years then it sat in a drawer the last year. I want to get that one serviced but my sub LV on the other hand has sat in a drawer since 2008 and only makes guest appearances for vacation. I was considering making the sub my every day wear watch for the next 5 years then getting it serviced in 2020. Any thought on part of all of this topic. Any watch repair staff advice |
