Kids' birth years collected!....incoming GMT

FINALLY! I've collected a Rolex for each year of our children's birth.... A 94 sub bluesy, 98 black dial sub w/date, and now this P serial GMT. Thanks to TRF for help with research.

AWESOME!

My plan is to get one for each of my children (3 boys so far) and pass it on at their graduation or wedding day. I hadn't even thought about having the watch match their birth year.

Great idea!

Well, if I had to do it over again, I'd have done it while they were younger (easier to find) but, on the other hand... Probably a little less expensive by waiting some years.

I'm glad mine is only 2 years old 2013 - Random serial, figure it out HAHA! Easy Peasy!

Very cool idea though - I am now looking for MY birth year.

That's great! Nice work, I'm sure they will appreciate it! I picked up my son a BNIB 16610LV a few years back that I plan to give to him as a wedding or graduation gift.

We were going to get my dad a birth-year watch, but it's hard to find sundials these days!

I have an X serial Bluesy to give to my son when he graduates college next month. The X serial is as close to his birth year of 1992 as I could get.

Taking it to the AD later this week to have a couple of links taken out and a little clean up for him before wrapping it.

Congrats.

Got my Son, Daughter and Nephew covered. And like the OP, will pass the watches onto them on their graduation or wedding day.

Nice work picking up some great watches!!!

I bought my Sub LV the year my daughter was born. It will be hers one day but the wife and I are wearing it inbetween.

Now I just need to talk the wife into having another child so I can head the my nearest AD!!
