Hello,

I am really considering buying this watch off a friends friend!

Does it look legit to you?

i believe it is a fake. dont like the inner edges of the crown guards or the clasp buckle. the rehaut looks out of whack as well. dial font is wrong.

it may be a franken that has a genuine bezel insert (yes they got this far).

i could be wrong and it may be over polished but i dont like it. i would pass.

here is one example

I'll let some more experts chime in here, but something isn't sitting well with me. Something seems off with the end link (SEL fit) as it doesn't seem sharp and precise, and the cuts on the flip lock on the clasp aren't completely straight and smooth as they should be. Just my .02 cents though.

Also wanted to add in that I'm seeing a lot of glare off that crystals' cyclops. Should be AR'd up, and although you'd still see some glare from certain angles, that looks a bit too pronounced to me.

Looks clean to me, but im not an expert and they make good fakes. I would make sure all the paperwork matches and take it to an AD you trust to verify. Is the AD on the warranty card local?

Is that a crack on the 5 minute mark on the bezel, the dates magnification doesn't look right. I would pass on this wouldn't bother

Clasp looks like junk compared to mine.

Now that you are saying that the clasp does look off. To much spacing on the flip lock as well as what was mentioned above.

I'm with Etschell here, he pointed out the same things I noticed so that tells me something is up. Also, notice the thumbnail groove where you open the fliplock. It's shaped incorrectly and not as deep as the real deal. Definitely pass.

One thing you might try is to take down the serial number there in the rehaut, and enter it in a Google search box. Many of the fakes will have the same serial number, and people talk about it on various forums.

My observation matches the others, mainly in that the end link fit is sloppy in those pics.

Fake. There's a whole load of things that are wrong with it. Clasp, SEL fit, fliplock cover, cracked bezel, and probably more that we can't see.

Got the fact it doesn't come with box and papers but take it to get check at a AD. A few things you can do, fakes have almost everything down but how to adjust the time. The good fakes use ETA movements. So they beat at 28,800 like a rolex. They hack when you pull the crown out and they wind very similar and the date snaps at 12 AM. One thing they have not got down is the had adjustments. ETA hands adjust opposite as newer rolex movements. Since the 3035 when you adjust the hands on a rolex clockwise you spin the crown clock wise and to opposite you move opposite. On the ETA when you adjust the hands clock wise an ETA fake with go forward. I hear there are movements out there now better than the ETA's so that is just one way. Alway get it checked at a AD. First if it is to good, could be stolen too. Good luck brother.

It looks good to me honestly. The way I typically check for a fake ceramic model is running my finger on the insert. The aftermarket inserts are printed on versus being blasted/embossed with white gold.

You are wrong. They are cut and are ceramic.

Its a fake, the clasp is one of the most noticeable tells. It is a good fake though. Could fool a lot of people at a quick glance.

Tell that friend of a friend to shove it. He's trying to pull one on you.

Actually, I think it's the OP who is pulling one on us (yet another clown trying to see if their fakes pass the "TRF test"). He posted a while back about another 116610 he was "thinking of buying" that was clearly a fake:

Gee, what a coincidence!
