Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss 6541 - How to Verify

Hi all. So I have had this rolex for a few years. I don't know a lot about it. I know it came from the US and wound up here through a friends grandfather. I have no box or certificate or anything with it. I want to get it verified. I was wondering if anyone could tell me firstly is there any sign that its fake, and secondly if not, is there anywhere in Ireland or the UK that could verify this for me at a reasonable cost.

My first worry would be there being no swiss markings under the 6 o'clock marker

Not my area of knowledge though but these are lovely watches and hopefully someone will be able to double confirm whether the dial is original or not

The watch itself is probably authentic, but the dial has been refinished. This will, of course, make it largely unappealing for the collector crowd, but the watch is indeed a rare model and one of the great rarities of the 1950s Rolex line. In addition, the lightning bolt seconds hand appears to be a later aftermarket hand, and the band a later USA replacement.

So is the consensus that the dial is completely fake or a refinish ? is there a chance its still real and just some production oddity ?

is there a way of getting an authentic dial for it ? would it be economically viable to do so ?

The dial is refinished. There will be no possibility of obtaining an authentic dial at this point.
