Recently serviced Rolex loses time

My girlfriend just picked up her moms date just, from a Rolex dealer in Denver for the second time. She had it serviced by this dealer(13 week wait), and when it was picked up it stopped running later the first night, just before midnight. she returned to the Rolex dealer and left it there for another 3 1/2 weeks. She's had it since this past Saturday, now it's losing 15 minutes. Her mom is obviously very upset, since she paid $850 to have it serviced. To make matters worse, they live in Colorado Springs, and had to drive to Denver(1hr 10 minute drive), the closest Rolex dealer to them. I told them to give the dealer two options, send the watch to the RSC, and have them reimburse her, or just refund her money. Since they obviously can't seen to get it right. What are you thoughts?

Sorry to hear... I would want my money back and would be VERY upset for having time/gas wasted, along with waiting 4 ish months for nothing. What service center are they sending it to? I would assume Both Rolex dealers in Denver would send it to the same place, unless they have people on site. Not sure what help that would be. Unless, they agree to send it to another service center. I would agree (hope) some sort of compensation would be in order, as this is obviously unacceptable from Rolex.

I don't know if they have their own watchmaker on site, or if it was sent out to whoever does their service. I would've sent it to abc, or timecare, but she was a little Leary of mailing it out of state. I now think it's gonna be sent out to the NY, or Dallas RSC.

Did they issue a Rolex warranty with the service, or is it in-store? Either way it needs to go to RSC on their dime (or the store's).

Sounds like they took advantage of an older lady. I would politely ask for reimbursement, then send it to a Rolex Service Center. They have already shown they are incompetent.

A 1 year Warranty sounds like they did the work in-house, probably on a dusty, dirty workbench. You probably have crumbs from the Guys sandwich in there too...

Personally in order of preference myself would
1. Send to Rikki at Time Care in Florida
2. Send to RSC in Dallas

Definitely try to get a refund or negotiate some kind of reimbursement! Unacceptable.

Sounds like they were taken advantage of. Try to get a reimbursement and send it to a qualified watchmaker as suggested by other here or RSC. Sucks to be without the watch for so long. Good luck.

That stinks. Easy to play Monday morning quarterback here. Hopefully the issue gets resolved to expectations. Not sure if a call to the Dallas RSC can help if the Denver dealer is authorized? Maybe they can apply pressure to have him send it into them at the AD's cost.

At this point I would send it to a RSC. Who knows that they have damaged or atleast affected.
