Are my lugs over polished?

Some of you are great at looking at pictures and coming up with an answer.

I've had this watch since new. It's been serviced once about five years ago. About ten years prior to that I hit a wall and the bezel popped off. I took it to an AD and they put the bezel back on and may have polished. I don't remember. Knowing what I know now I would request that it was not done.

The lug on the 2 o'clock side looks a little narrower to me. I'm on a trip and don't have access to calipers to measure them. I actually don't have them at home either.

Just curious your opinions as the answer will guide my next purchase.

Thank you.

Ive heard that Rolex lugs are smaller on one side to cater for the crown and also to ensure the watch case symmetrical. could be wrong though?

Comparing your lugs and crown guards to my unpolished Pepsi I don't see an issue.

Looks fine, if it was smoothed off and heavily rounded and much narrowed you would know

The lugs on all Rolex sports are always a fraction narrower on the crown guard side they have been for the past 50 odd years

I concur, the crown side is supposed to be just a tad narrower.

Sweet GMT btw Jason.

Are my lugs over polished?

frankly when I saw your first picture I immediately felt the lugs were way too thin n narrow. the side view also seemed to show the springs bars nearing the edge of the holes, which is another giveaway. I may be wrong but I think the case has been grind down quite a bit but then again it may be because yours are not SEL. here's mine with SEL.

Please don't worry about the thickness of your lugs as they look great to me. Just be certain that you will never wear them out in your lifetime! Cheers.

Great. Thank you all.

This watch is part of the core of my collection and I was afraid it had been bunged up.

Also Padi, I had no idea about the differnt lug thickness. Interesting.

Looks good to me, may be time to take a toothbrush and some soap to the bracelet, but that's about it! And yes the lugs are slightly narrower on the crown side, especially on the daytona
