Some Rolex sightings in the wild

My wife and I were at dinner last night in a fun Italian restaurant, celebrating our anniversary. At the table next to us was a couple; I immediately noticed their Rolex watches. She was wearing a SS 24mm DJ with fluted bezel and jubilee band, he was wearing a non-COSC 14060m. I was staring at it for a while, until my wife said I was being rude. Reminds me again how nice the 14060m looks!

DSJ, I think your wife was actually saying you were being rude to her and not giving her your full attention. I get this all the time. LOL

I spotted a Sub ND in the mall last week...I Could not believe how much it sparkled...
It's as if without the cyclops your eyes go to the bezel and case...
With the Sub-date I think my eyes go right to the cyclops

Nice. It's a habit for me to "watch spot" also when I am out and about.

On Friday I went to a club's orientation for new members and saw two other Rolexes in the group of about ten new members. One gentleman I struck up a conversation with was wearing a nice gold Day Date that he'd had for three years.

David,
Happy Anniversary!
I tried to make a list of every Rolex I saw during my trip to Guam and had to stop because I couldn't count them all that fast.

i'll add mine; saturday my wife and i had a little get together with friends at our house. a good friend who we have not seen in while showed up. never knew he wore a rolex, but he had a ss. sub no date on and his wife had a ss womens datejust. i never knew he was a "watch" person. but has had several rolexes over the years.. i guess i never noticed them on his wrist all this time? so we talked watches for a while. nice surprise. he was just as surprised about me and my love for rolex; i was wearing my datejust 16014.

Hmm, I thought the newer ones were 26mm, but the previous style were 24mm. I put my wife's next to my mother's and hers certainly APPEARED smaller...

You have to be careful watch spotting. Usually a watch is at waist level, and you might appear to be checking out something else.

Yeah, luckily their arms/hands were on or above the table, so it was subtle!
