SubC trade for Pepsi?

I've been contemplating trying to trade my 1.5yr old SubC for preferably a birth year 1675 Pepsi.

Would I be making a mistake?

Can I swim in a 1675?

I would wear the watch everyday, I'm in jeans/khakis and Polo's at work, and tshirt shorts on weekends. I rarely wear a suit.

I personally think that they both can coexist in your collection. Variety is the spice of life. I just think that once you get rid of the Sub C and only have the birth year, you will be kicking yourself for it later.

As much as i love the 1675 i would not give up a subc for one. As long as the 1675 was pressure tested routinely, swimming shouldnt be an issue. Any chance of just adding a 1675 and keeping the sub? Good luck 😎

I've owned the 114060 / 116610 as well as the 1675. While I was intrigued by the charm of the Pepsi, I didn't keep the GMT Master for very long. It was my only watch, and I just like the bracelets and updated features of the newer models.

I would not trade. Very different pieces. I would save for the 1675.

I also vote for keeping the Subc and adding the pepsi if you are able. The features on newer models have won me over.

Im a big GMT fan, and prefer a GMT over a Sub. if you can add instead of trade like others have suggested, in my opinion would be the best advise. 16700 and 114060, love them both!

As long as the seals and such check out swimming is not an issue. I prefer my Sub over my GMT.

I would try to keep and add. The SubC is such a great piece.

I would not trade. The modern features are really exceptional.

Here's my two cents:

Swap now for the 1675 while prices are still within reason. They ARE going to jump at some point.

If you miss the Sub C you can always get one down the line without the risk of a dramatic price increase; don't listen to your AD.

I would agree with this assessment.

However, if push came to shove, I would choose new over old.

If it's that important to you, I'd flip for a well cared for 1675, they aren't getting any cheaper....you can always pick up a Subc later, but if you can swing both, that's what I'd do.

Sub C bracelet is worth keeping alone. I don't like addition by sub-traction. :)
