MK3 dial ( Swiss Made) on 1985 16660 Sea Dweller
Hello. Wondering if a 1985 (8.9m serial) with a MK3 (says Swiss made) dial is the correct service dial.
Understood it is not the original T<25 dial, but wondering if this is tha approved service dial not a Frankenstein watch. Please advise. Joe |

It very well could be a correct service dial. Placing a photo of the dial here would help with opinions.

As long as it is viewed as s correct service dial for this model I'm ok with it.
I just didn't want some project made of mixed model pieces. Also is an original dial worth more than the service dial? |

Most of the value is in the dial; if considering a Sea-Dweller with this fine luminova dial, then your better bet is a post-1998 16600 with the 3135 movement. If you prefer tritium, then a 1997 or prior 16600 is your best option. If you are really after a 16660, then focus on originality with either an original tritium WG dial, or an early 80s matte dial.
For this purchase (which is priced at what would frankly be a high price point for a 16600) to make any sense, it would either need to come as a full, complete set with original dial, or as-is at a much lower price point. ("Complete set" meaning original box, original warranty papers, booklets, hang tags, anchor, and unique to Sea-Dwellers, the tool kit, dive extension, and calendar.) |

I hear Ya.
My issue is I'm allergic to 904l. So I need a 666 I want a modern watch with lume, but cant do new models with my skin. So a 16660 is what I need, but I want it as modern as possible. Without killing value. This would be a birth year so I wouldn't plan on selling. But I want a good wearable watch. Watch was services and cleaned by ABC last year. |

Did you end up buying that watch? If so for how much?
I picked up this 666 with service dial, hands, crystal and bezel....a fully "new" 666 so to speak. Certainly not a vintage piece, but I can wear the crap out of it and actually read the dial at night.
