Random Serial #s vs. pre 2010 serial #'s on Rolex Watches
Like to hear opinions on the change as of 2010 with the Random serial numbers vs. the older watches pre-2010 that had a single letter designation on the serial number.
Is there any value in finding the older serial number watches from AD as opposed to buying a new watch with the random serial numbering on the warranty card. |

At the moment, random serial will be worth more than V or M serial but in 20 years from now who knows??

I think Random serial is better as people cannot associate a specific built date, which does not necessary equates to how old the watch is (old stock, for example)

I doubt it will mean anything later on. The serial reset in the 1950s doesn't drive the price of any watch from that era
