what year was my lvc born?

I recently purchased a lvc from davidsw. I adore it, he is a great seller and highly recommend his services. Anyways what is the easiest way to find out which year my lvc was born without bothering the man himself, davidsw.
Thanks a bunch rolex forum!

Did you purchase with a warranty card? The letter, for example Z, would indicate the year of the case. The most accurate date of production is your clasp code.

All random serial Subs, or any other Rolex, were produced after 2011 (actually late 2010). Internet Charts default to that year for random serials.

It is likely that your watch is much newer than that since that is when they first began. The vast majority will, obviously, be produced later.

Only Rolex knows and they aren't telling. Serial numbers only give an approx. date of when they are made but there are many exceptions and by no means exact.
