Well I didn't want one before and one one even less now, I am already turning off my mobile phones for many hours each day as I am tired of all this technology which is invading your life, so to add another? NO WAY...

I was given one as a gift and upon opening it, realised I need an iPhone for it to work. Then I returned it. Not about to give up my Android phone just to use an iWatch. It does feels comfortable and kind of cool on the wrist but that's about it.

Funny thing is I believe the only thing keeping it alive is the fact it's tethered to a cell phone. On it's own it would compete against the phone and doubt it would stand a chance. As a phone accessory some people will buy it just like some buy the blue tooth earpiece.

Will be a right wrist bracelet thing. Not giving up any mechanical watches for it.

I read the article, definitely a good article. I work in Seattle and few people wear watches here - so if this product makes people put something on their wrists I think that is a good thing. I have noticed more people wearing smart watches as of late. I think a segment of these adopters may be drawn to upgrade the real estate on their wrists. So while I think the iWatch may hurt the under $1,000 segment I think it will help the upper part of the market.

I'm usually apple all the way with things, but I'm fully sure I get more enjoyment out my Daytona than I ever would out of an Apple Watch

Some good comments here.

FWIW, I don't want to be buying an Apple Watch if in 12-36 months time, it's being replaced by a new & improved version and the latest OS no longer runs on it or it runs too slow. I get that it would be helpful when used in combination with an iPhone, but I don't think that's enough for me to be interested in buying one.

If the Apple Watch gets the luxury mechanical watch companies to sit up and take notice, to make better watches and pay more attention to the details, then I think it's a good thing for all watch enthusiasts, whether they like the Apple Watch or not.

I purchased the Apple watch and really tried to like it but couldn't. The apps suck and it barely suffices to just tell the time. If I don't turn my wrist enough the display doesn't come on and I can't see the time.

I have a whole list of issues I have with the iwatch.

Clearly the use model isn't sufficiently there yet...I'm an apple fan boy as well, but don't have an Apple Watch.

From a design perspective, I like the back watch reviewed...the bracelet with six tool-less removable links on either side of the clasp is a great feature.

I wore a Fitbit for a while on my right wrist, but didn't get much out of it...

I'm interested to see how the product develops, but content to watch (pun intended) from afar right now.

Haha! I think Samsung has their own watch to match their Android phones. I am sure other phone manufacturers will follow suit.

I think the Apple watch will attract the tech crowd as well as those who were drawn to the iPhone and Apple products in the first place.
