Official Service Rolex
Hello friends
My Submariner 116610 has already met 3 years since I bought it in a official dealer of the brand. Well.. now I want to sell it and access another Rolex model from which I am still undecided. Although the watch works perfect I think to avoid future problems first I want to give a service and then save it in the safe box and deliver it with no use and with all receipts and papers. I wanted to know how much an official service in USA? How long it takes to do so? And finally them polish all the Sub. when they make the service? Thank you |

Hi Danny83
Thanks for your response
When I take it off does not last more than 24 hours and stops running. Yesterday I do not think they spent more than twelve hours and stopped again .When I put it immediately starts to work .. Every few years usually have to do a service ?. |

Rolex recently announced that service was now recommended approximately every 10 years unless there were other issues.
Service costs start around $600 and can go up from there. I'd leave it as is and if you sell it the buyer can choose if he wants to service it but it sounds unnecessary at this point. |

I don't know the price or time frames in the USA. They will polish it for you as part of a normal service.

I think currently they would charge you about $600, time frame like 6 weeks. As mentioned above, don't believe you need to service it yet.

The $600 for service will not be returned in a deal when you sell the watch unless it is not running. Do a deal and move on. Save the service time and money.

sell the watch as is.
let the buyer have it examined and serviced if neccesary. wind it 40 times and see how long it will run without being worn. |

I wouldn't service it, sell it for the price you can. As a seller you seem like an honest and genuine one, however, if the company states that it doesn't technically need one then I wouldn't bother.
Think of it if like your car, you service it at the correct intervals as per the manufacturers guidelines. |

The service will have the watch working perfectly and the watch will look pristine as well. Not to mention you have additional warranty and watch authentication. In my opinion, if you have it serviced at a certified Rolex Service Center it will make the watch easier to sell/trade
Contact the RSC in NYC and get some time frames and costs. |

3 years; you do not need service. Especially considering Rolex themselves issued a statement last year that the typical service internvals they see from customers coming in is 10 years (anyone kindly correct me if I am wrong or misinterpreted).
Service is $600 plus a new crown tube so your touching around $700 out the door not including shipping. Its probably stopping so soon because you are not wearing it long enough so give it 40+ winds then observe again. My first "good watch" (Seamaster 300) went 13 years before it went back to Omega and $500 covered an overhaul and replaced some parts (in which they returned to me unlike Rolex). |
