RSC questions
OK in a couple of weeks am sending my SD 16600 to the rolex center. Just to have it service. My question is what should I ask them what to save and not. What question to ask them? Like I hear the best thing to keep everything original to the watch. Just thinking the future of the watch. Just look at the original gmt if you get it service they will charge the dail and bezel. Then the value gose down.

You could ask for things such as:
1.) Do not polish 2.) Do not alter, refinish, or repalce the dial, hands, or bezel (they would notify you and charge you anyway) |

Yea. If you don't want the physical appearance altered just tell them that you just want movement service and nothing else. Personally I would just want them to make it look new unless it is a vintage piece.

They will provide you with an estimate of all they recommend done once they have inspected it.
You can accept or reject those recommendations unless absolutely necessary for a repair. |

As mentioned, they will tell you what they must replace in order to ensure integrity of the movement and case, which is what they are warrantying for 24 months. If you decline, they return it to you. There are a handful of indy Rolex watchmakers frequently mentioned here who may not make the same demand, nor offer the same post-service warranty.

It's not a vintage but don't want it to be change. My luck prices go up on the 16600 then because the change the dail and bezel am hit. Planning to keep it for many years to come but who knows.

Rolex doesn't change any dials or bezels unless you agree and pay for it..

You would be aware of the most likely $600 charge for a new dial etc. |
