Okay all you watch makers out there.....

Do you know if the ROTOR MASS, i.e. the actual weight of the semi-circular rotor that governs the automatic movement of the watch, varies from model to model?

For example, do you think the new DSSD would have a heavier rotor as compared....say with the current SD?

Wouldn't rotors be matched to the movements ?

eg: all 3186 rotors are the same size

I'm not a watchmaker but seems logical to me .

The new DSSD has the same 3135 movement with the PARACHROM spring as the SD therefore should have the same rotor I would think.

each movement caliber should have its own rotor weight.

I will also guess the DSSD will have the same rotor as the other watches with its movement.

This is correct. In other words, the 3135 in the DJ has the same rotor as the one in the Submariner. The movements could be swapped, in theory.
