What is the model of this watch?

All, I am a newbie to this forum. I recently got a rolex from my dad, which was given to him in the 1970s. It's a stainless steel unisex model with an after-market strap. How do I go about identifying the model of this Rolex? The picture is attached. Also, is it worth it to buy a genuine Rolex strap to replace the after-market strap? I appreciate your help. Thanks in advance!

Looks like my wife's 6466 from 1957, does the date go red/black/odd/even?
It has a "waffle" dial which is very collectable, looks to be in good condition.
Check between the lugs, one side will be the model #, the other will be a case serial # which will date the watch.

I just spoke to my dad. He said that it was gifted to him in 1953. So that would probably mean that the watch is from 1940s (just a guess). I don't think the numbers change color. I am also assuming that it is a manual winding watch. I will take it to the AD to confirm. Thank you for your response.

Be vey careful with the AD. Most have little knowledge about vintage Rolex and certainly not this old. They may propose a service, which should also better not be carried out at an AD-Rolex service center, because they tend to replace any item considered worn, including dial & hands. You would end up with a watch looking new, but without any collector or emotional value left.

Better ask the forum for recommendations in the area where you live and take it there.

The serial number and the model numbers are not between the lugs. I am assuming we have to open the watch to see if they are located inside. The numbers do change color. Red for even dates and Black for odd dates.
