Any idea why this happened? Easy fix?

Screw it back in, If the watch band was ever adjusted at one point it was probably left loose.

I figured. I thought they used a loctite on the screws when they screw them in (bluish color). Anyhow this is scary thinking if that happened while I was wearing it may be bye-bye platty

Now to find a small enough screw driver

Screw it back in. I have had screws back out from time to time. Just make sure you notice before it hits the floor!

Just because using a small screw driver and twisting it clockwise might seem easy to me....

Same thing happened to my Daytona while jet skiing... That was a heart attack and a half, escecially becuase I discovered it that way after flying off of said jet ski.

I posted last year about the same concern. People suggested just buying some light duty loctite to DIY. I got a good micro toolset at Target that has the sizes that seem to fit my watch and glasses.

If it backed out once, it might just do it again. I'd add a dab of Loctite 222

Happened ob my brand new sub too. Once I secured it back in hasn't happened again. Just make sure not to over tighten.

Happened to me before on my sub. Visited local RSC and they tighten them all with lock paste. Free of charge! Been perfect since then!

Actually had my SD fall off in a pool when a screw backed out. I had not bothered with the loctite over a year earlier...so it took a while but made its way out.

Happened to my OP about six months after I purchased it and had it sized. I was walking around a shopping centre at the time. Took it off put it in my pocket and re fitted the screw with locktite once I was home.
