16610 or 16660?

Guys,

Looking to expand my collection this year with at least one addition. I am pretty sure I will be adding a 14060 or 14060M at some point. The next question is should I go for the 16610 or the 16660?

Leaning towards the 16660. I think it's distinct enough from the other watches in my collection. And truth me told, the Submariner Date really doesn't grab me.

What do you think? Thanks!

I picked the first option, everyone needs Subs in their collection!

I have a both a 14060m and 16600. Plenty of room for them to coexist in a collection and I think they make a nice pair together.

I have pieces with the cyclops, but I prefer the ones without. I bought the sub BNIB as my first, and the salesperson tried to get me to try the SD at the time to compare.I refused but wish now I had seen the light back then.

Think the 14060m would be a nice collection. Most purists fancy the 2 liner sub but on the contrary i prefer the 4 liner cosc version. Not so much from a cosc point of view(honestly doesn't make much a diff) but simply because i feel it just looks more complete. I also like the rehaut engravings on it yet retaining its drilled lugs. They came out with just a few versions before the 114060 replaced them. the more common ones are the Z serial, V serial & the AN serials. You won't regret!
