Rolex crowns

Does anyone have more information on this? I can't seem to find much. I noticed the crown on my bluesy has a larger circle in the middle (see my avatar). Can anyone provide some more info?

This is the only reference I found but it doesn't make sense to me and isn't consistent with the yellow gold crown on my bluesy.

What info do you miss at the pic? You have a YG TripLock crown.

Jocke, thanks for the note. As you can see in the picture I posted, it has the yellow gold trip lock crown listed as having three even dots (not a larger dot in the center). This is why I am confused

Can anyone explain monobloc vs non monobloc?

Looks like OP's crown is consistent with a 7mm WG not YG

The new Mono-bloc, which you have, is a solid piece of gold machined into the crown. There is a stainless steel plug pressed into it for threads.

The earlier crowns were stainless steel with a cap of solid gold pressure formed around it. The inner "crown" had the threads.

You have the new markings. Your diagram is only for the early crowns.

Icon16 New datejust 41 steel and rose gold crown solid or not?

Hi, I am a bit confused, when I pull out my crown fully to adjust time on my new datejust 41 126333, all I see inside crown is gold, gold stem and the threads inside crown appear to be gold, but it screws down onto the steel case with steel threads. I thought the gold crown had a machined in steel thread so gold and steel did not meet as obviously the gold would get worn quicker, any help or thoughts would be appreciated cheers Carl.

I think he is saying the illustrated chart shows 3 small dots for ss/yg but his actual crown has the large dot in the middle as if it were the WG in his illustrated chart?
